Cigar maker Frank Schreiter, born about 1868, lived in the home at 215 S. Memorial Dr. (which was then 539 Cherry) from 1884-1896. He worked for the H. Tennie Company and B. Lyons. He is not to be confused with Frank Schreiter, born about 1844, who was owner of the Schreiter & Bretschneider furniture business. Yet another, Frank Joseph Schreiter, born in 1874, was the furniture dealer's son.
