George Weiland was born October 10, 1876 and lived in the home at 925 Sixth (now 403 W. Sixth St. at the southwest corner of Sixth and Elm) from the time it was built in 1877 until his death in 1889 at age 9. He was the son of Appleton pioneer Nicholas Weiland.
