Charlotte (Lottie) Weiland was born February 26, 1875 and lived in the home at 925 Sixth (now 403 W. Sixth St. at the southwest corner of Sixth and Elm) from the time it was built in 1877. She married Eugeneus (Eugene) Mayer in Appleton October 10, 1895. By 1897 she was a widow living at the family's Sixth St. home. She was the daughter of Appleton pioneer Nicholas Weiland.
