The Poetzl family lived at 203 S. State St. from at least 1889 to 1898.

Joseph Poetzl was a merchant tailor with a shop at 614 Oneida (approximately N. Oneida and E. Washington.) John and Joseph, Jr. were tailors in the shop. Bertha is listed as a tailoress and Amelia a milliner. Edward was also a tailor, but he worked for merchant tailor Henry Schuetter.
