803 S. Memorial Dr.
Street number prior to 1925: 365 Cherry

A 1900 date of construction is given in city real estate records but that is an approximation. The 1887 city directory lists Pauline Heintzkill, widow of Theodore, as proprietor of a boarding house and saloon on the corner of Cherry and 3rd streets. The 1889 city directory lists Mrs. Lena Heintzkill, widow of Theodore, as proprietor of a boarding house and saloon at this location. Most likely this is the same person. Their daughter Vina (Alvina) Heintzkill lived here in 1892.

It is possible this building was the Heintzkill Hotel on 3rd and Cherry listed in the 1884 city directory with Theodore Heintzkill, proprietor.

Edward Stone was a boarder here in 1887.

In 1925 the George H. Hesser family lived here and experienced this unfortunate incident.
