Theodore W. Kamps was a harnessmaker. His business at 943 College, now 421 W. College Ave. He and his family lived at 620-622 W. Sixth St. in the late 1880's.

Theodore A. Kamps was also a harnessmaker and also had a shop on College Ave. The building with the carved horse's head on the façade at 207 W. College Ave. still exists.
