In 1918 Roscoe and Augusta Gage purchased the home at 420 W. Fifth St. and still lived here in 1925. Gage was a partner with Henry Gloudemans in the Gloudemans and Gage Department Store (est. 1910.) Beginning in 1930 the Gloudemans lived at 603 S. State St.
