Edgar Walter, son of George Walter of the George Walter Brewing Company family, married Ancilla Rossmeissl, daughter of Matthias and Barbara Rossmeissl. The Walters lived at 523 W. Eighth St. next door to Ancilla's parents who built a home at 517-519 W. Eighth St.

The Walters eventually moved to Eau Claire where Edgar founded the Walter Brewing Company.
