Dressmaker Eunice Stoddard was the wife of boarding house owner George W. Stoddard. The boarding house was at 475 Walnut in 1884. By 1887 she was a widow still living at this location.

In 1925 this building was replaced by the home now standing at 419 S. Walnut St.
