Colonel Nathan Morgan and Captain Henry Turner built and operated the Waverly House, the first hotel in the West "electrically lighted in every room." Colonel Morgan and his wife built this Front Gabled home in 1895. Mrs. Henrietta F. Brill, widow of William Brill, occupied the home in 1925.
