Street number prior to 1925: 407 Cherry
This unassuming home is one of the older buildings in the Old Third Ward. It dates from 1860. At the time this home was built Cherry street was the city limits, so this house was just outside the city.
The McGinley family lived there from 1880 to 1893: Charles, engineers Daniel and William; and James, Ellen and Mary.
