While city real estate records give the date of this house as 1896, the O'Keefe family made their home here from at least 1889 through 1898: John O'Keefe, millwright; son John Albert O'Keefe, a bookkeeper; Thomas L. O'Keefe, a plumber; William E. O'Keefe, a bookkeeper for J. O'Keefe & Co.

In 1889 Miss Emma Catlin a clerk at Pettibone's was a boarder. Alfred J. Cole a moulder for Appleton manufacturing Co. lived here in 1892. Third district teacher Clara Monahan was a resident from 1897-1898.
