Street number prior to 1925: 841 Lawrence


This home stood on the southwest corner of Lawrence and Appleton streets where Lawrence Court is now. It was across Lawrence street from the Waverly House. It was built by Dr. Rush Winslow sometime before 1892 when it appears in Appleton Wis., Illustrated and the city directory.

Rush Winslow was a physician, surgeon and mayor of Appleton in 1892. His wife Minnie was City Superintendent of Schools in 1893. The home still existed in 1925 and was occupied by Henry Reuter.
