Walter M. Joyce


Walter Joyce worked for the Superior Coffee Co. on N. Appleton St. In 1925 he was the Treasurer of the company. In 1911 he and his wife Eva built a home at 339 W. Sixth St. All four of the Joyce's sons were born in this house.

Mr. Joyce died in August of 1929. The August 9, 1929 Appleton Post-Crescent ran the obituary with the list of honorary pall bearers: Chief of Police George D. Prim, Dr. G. T. Hegner, William Konrad, Carl Tennie, Homer Boelby and A. J. Hall. Pall bearers were George Schmidt, Joseph J. Plank, Thomas Flannigan, F. J. Rooney, George Buckley, and John C. Pierce of Oshkosh.
Two members of the National Tea and Coffee Association also attended.
