By 1910 retired Grand Chute farmer and washerman for the "Uneeda Damp Wash Laundry Co.", John Samuel Hoh had purchased the south home at 414-416 S. State St. and used the rental income to support his invalid daughter Helen. The Hoh family lived next door at 422 S. State St. at least until 1951.
